Business Card - Work Horse of the Work World
As I sit at my desk leafing through the dizzying array of nibble printing materials, sent to me by a limited print shop in hopes of getting our responsibility, my mind begins to boggle. A 256 chapter perfect bound book on Sharp practice Detection. An absolutely nifty coil bound Calloway Golf Shoe booklet in 24 pages of the heaviest line of descent I think I’ve ever seen for pages, cardboard fail-over cover and a pocket on the back literally splattered with metallic ink. A pleasing UV coated brochure for Ferrari, a skateboard publication that actually feels soft to the have access to. A stunning 95 stage art book on Egyptian art, and I shudder to about how much money the Fire & Ice Diamond people done for on this saddle stitched piece. I could go on, and fill this unimpaired newsletter raving about the quality and amount of the pieces that the saleswoman sent me and as I sit here reeling from all the dazzling color, burnished surfaces and interesting die cuts, I wonder where is the one draughtsman fall apart that I actually wanted to see…
A business fated.
He took the time to put this package together. Paid for the courier to drip off the package, (it weighs over 5 lbs), wrote me a belittling letter, and signed it himself… at least it looks like he signed it himself. Plainly, he’s a good enough printer that he could probably printed matter it digitally and I’d never know the difference.
But, no calling card. He’s got all the correct conjunction information on the letter, full name, title, office phone, office fax, apartment phone, email, address, but closely how am I going to fit that into my business card chronologize? Now, I know that I am the web guy here at Beachcomber. I have the most impressive computer in the company, run two monitors simultaneously and frankly, the mentation of a power failure makes me convulse. I touched my first computer when I was 11, and have never honestly been the same. I am tied to my computer in ways that you can’t even take it. So why don’t I just enter him in my “Contacts” and be light-hearted with that? Simply put, because everyone I have ever had contact with is in my “Contacts.” Only the extremely important people in my life and affair get into my business card file.
There is rightful something about a business card. The severe card stock, sometimes textured, maybe even discomfit embossed, or die cut into some interesting shape. It’s variety of like the telephone. I can get by veritably well with email, and instant messaging, even section messaging, but my desk phone brings me solace. I like calling people, (first the Price is Right winners). A partnership card evokes that same feeling.
In an era when “Crackberry” rules the matter world, (Google it), the business liable act is still one of your most valuable tools. Why? Because it will never smash. It will never need a firmware upgrade, or new drivers so that it will m with your left hand and your right power. You’ll never have to turn it off when you go through security. You’ll never have to ask someone else in the office if they can review it, because your eyes don’t have the right reader installed. They are the final “never fail” thingamajig.
Think about it. Where would you be without business cards? What if you all of a sudden dropped all your business cards into the river by disaster? What would be going through your head as you watch them dissipate on the water like little hoary leaves fallen in autumn, signaling the origin of a very long, very cold winter? “Illustrious, now I’m going to have to get wet…”

It’s almost like a dancing party. Oh and here’s a tip, if a Japanese person ever gives you a issue card, never, under any circumstance, put it in your back pants pinch and sit on it. Very bad.

This guy never gave himself the accidental to become important enough to get into my card file. I reckon that there is likely over $100 worth of test printing in this 5 lb box of printing genius. And now he’s graceful much thrown it all away, but for one 20 cent essay of paper that tells me “Reminisce over me.” It’s a shame, really, his malarkey is really nice. In deed data, I think I’m going to put the Egyptian art soft-cover on my coffee table at home beside the Bradley Washburn view photography book that I got from Petra at Hemlock Printers. I speculate if she can do the things this guy can do. Maybe I’ll give her a call to find out. It should be extremely easy to find her card. I recollect exactly where it is.
