with Intimate Classics Series

Windsor, ON - Sept. 24th, 2008. The Windsor Symphony Orchestra's 61st
Season, Passion: Music of the Feelings, opens Friday, September 26th with
the first concert in our Exhaustive Classics Series. This concert,
Mozart and Morawetz, will special attraction WSO Concertmaster and recent
recipient of the Dig the Leader Award, Lillian Scheirich, in
Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 2. The schedule will also include
Mozart's Symphony no. 40 and a m by Canadian composer Oskar

A distinctive announcement regarding the WSO's concerts at Assumption
University Chapel:
The Windsor Symphony Orchestra will go onwards with its scheduled
opening concert, Mozart & Morawetz, this Friday, September 26th, 2008
at AssumptionUniversity Chapel. Assumption University is a severally
funded campus owned by the Basilian Fathers, adjacent to the
University of Windsor. As stated on its website, "Assumption
University is a privately operated, autonomous university with its own
considerably granting charter, distinct from theUniversity of Windsor and
yet through society an integral part of it".
Attending a concert at Assumption University Chapel is not crossing
the vertical line. The Windsor Symphony Orchestra is closely elaborate
with both the University of Windsor administration and faculty and
looks foster to fostering both relationships.
