Harris Jones to receive Professional Achievement Award
Kim Harris Jones, Elder Vice President — Corporate Controller and Auditor, will be honored Saturday by Women of Color journal with the “Women of Color Skilful Achievement in Industry Award” at the annual Inhabitant Women of Color Technology Talk in Dallas.
This award honors exceptional women who are making on-going contributions in their field and are role models and leaders for others.
“The Women of Color award plainly identifies some of the most influential business and community leaders in the Communal States,” said Ronald Kolka, Regulatory Vice President and Chief Economic Officer. “Chrysler is proud that Women of Color periodical and Career Communications Group do homage Kim’s extraordinary accomplishments as a corporate director.”
Harris Jones was presented for the award by Unconstrained Fountain, Senior Vice President –- Superficial Affairs and Public Policy, Chrysler LLC.
Harris Jones was appointed Elder Vice President — Corporate Controller and Auditor in September and is ethical for the company’s corporate fiscal activities, including business planning, eliminating- and medium-term financial forecasting and all internal and foreign audit functions.
Harris Jones gives back to the community through her benevolent and community activities. She is a Board Associate and past President of the Board for The Boys and Girls Republic Immaturity Home in Farmington Hills, Mich. In 2007, she was named to the Crain’s Detroit Point list of “Most Influential Women” and received the Peter C. Thorpe Initiative Award from the Consortium for Study in Graduate Direction.
